What Is Thyroid Cancer?
Thyroid cancer occurs when abnormal cells in the thyroid gland begin to grow uncontrollably. Some thyroid cancers grow slowly and may remain confined to the thyroid, while others can grow more aggressively and spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body.
Types of Thyroid Cancer

A lump or swelling in the neck
A thyroid nodule that increases in size
Persistent hoarseness or voice changes

Persistent neck or throat discomfort
Swollen lymph nodes in the neck
Unexplained or persistent cough
